Residency Program

Cultural Tourism Residencies

Two months at the edge of the world — create, reflect, transform and leave your mark.

A Place to create

The Navolè Residency is a 2 week minimun immersive program for artists, musicians, dancers, writers, reserachers and interdisciplinary practitioners. Set in the Galapagos Islands, it offers something increasingly rare: uninterrupted time, extraordinary environment, and a community of serious peers.

Residents receive private  accommodation, in which the studio is the enviroment of galapagos. First line touristic and cultural guidance and access to all Navolé programs are included. In return, we ask for presence, rigor, and a willingness to be changed by the place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know

Is this a tourist experience or an artistic residency?

Navolé is a creative and artistic residency, not a conventional tour. The program combines creative processes, community, and personal time — respecting the rhythms of the place and the Galápagos National Park. Any additional tourism outside the program can be arranged independently.

Do I need to pay an entry fee to visit the Galápagos?

Yes. All visitors — including residency participants — must pay the Galápagos National Park entry fee upon arrival at Baltra or San Cristóbal airport. This fee is not included in the residency cost.

How much is the Galápagos entry fee?

Current rates: Non-resident foreigners USD 200 · CAN or MERCOSUR nationals USD 100 · Ecuadorians or Ecuador residents USD 30 · Children under 12 pay half · Children under 2 are free. Payment is made on arrival at the airport.

Should I bring cash?

Yes — it is strongly recommended to bring US dollars in cash. Cards are not always accepted in the Galápagos, particularly at water taxis, small shops, and some airport services.

What documents do I need to participate?

You will need: a valid passport (international participants), a national ID card (Ecuadorian participants), a Transit Control Card (TCT) obtained at the mainland airport before boarding, and a return flight ticket.

What is the Transit Control Card (TCT)?

The TCT is a mandatory document for all travelers to the Galápagos. It costs approximately USD 20 and is processed at the mainland departure airport before boarding your flight to the islands.

Are there environmental controls or special restrictions?

Yes. The Galápagos is a protected territory. On arrival you will pass through biosecurity checks to prevent the introduction of invasive species. Navolé promotes a conscious, respectful presence within the natural environment and local community.

How long can I stay in the Galápagos?

As a visitor you may stay up to 60 days per year in the Galápagos, across all entries combined. The residency program operates within this legal framework.
